Following the second studio trip to Trieste, Italy, we were tasked with conducting a site analysis based on a specific theme, and ours was vegetation.
Initially perceived as lacking greenery, the site reveals opportunistic vegetation making use of the little space available, emerging from the cracks in the concrete. We then explored two scales, micro and macro, with a 1:500 scale plan highlighting the micro vegetation, and a 1:1 representation detailing the often overlooked plants growing in the irregularities of the ground.
